CoinTR will adjust the funding fee rules at 8:00(UTC) on May 24, 2023. The new calculation rules are as follows. To avoid unnecessary misunderstandings, please read the relevant rules carefully.

The funding rate used in the settlement of funding fees has changed from the previous period to the current period.

Funding fees are settled every 8 hours for all perpetuals, and the calculation time is 08:00, 16:00 and 24:00 (UTC+8).

The level of the funding rate is related to the price deviation within 8 hours of the current period. When the "weighted" perpetual price within 8 hours is greater than the spot price, the long side will pay the funding fee to the short side.

Funding fee calculation formula: Funding fee = Position nominal value * Funding rate.

Position nominal value = Mark price * Amount of USDⓈ-M futures.
Please note that if the user does not hold any positions at the time the funding fee is charged, no funding fee will be charged or paid.
